When & Where is the festival taking place?

The Canada Fruit Fest takes place from Aug 9-12, 2019 on the beautiful Okanagan Lake in British Columbia at a sacred indigenous campsite known as Komasket Campgrounds.

You can click here for the exact venue location.

What’s the accommodation like?

The Canada Fruit Fest is happening on an open, non-serviced campground. Please be sure to bring your own tent, trailer, RV, etc. with you.

Also, make sure you have what you need to rest, like a tent, sleeping bag, blankets, pillow, etc.

There are showers on-site as well as running tap water to clean your dishes etc.

The closest store is about a 10 minute drive from the campground, and the nearest city of Vernon is 20 minute away. Vernon contains a Walmart, Superstore, and many other big shopping centers.

How do I get there?

If you're driving, click here for the exact location of the venue. Then use Google maps to guide you.

If you're flying, fly into Kelowna (YLW), then take our shuttle bus directly to the venue. Our festival shuttle bus will be available for $60 one way or $120 roundtrip. Please book in advance to ensure you have a spot on the bus! Spaces are limited and will likely sell out.

Another option is flying into Vancouver (YVR) and renting a car then driving up. It is one of the most beautiful scenic 6 hour drives in all of Canada.

Is parking available?

Yes! On site parking is available for all attendees.

What does my ticket get me?

What doesn’t your ticket get you? The Canada Fruit Fest is the most affordable fruit fest on the planet. With a full access pass, you get 4 days of campsite accommodation, unlimited food, all day lectures, workshops, activities, group excursions, and so much more. If you’d like to attend a private retreat after the festival to receive 1 on 1 coaching from some of our pioneers, you can apply for that here.

Absolutely! In fact, children 10 and under come for free. We will have babysitters in place to give you the chance to see your favorite speaker during the day.

Can my children come?

What is the weather going to be like?

The weather in B.C. during August is usually extremely hot. With temperatures averaging 30 degrees Celsius during peak times of the day. In the evening, the temperature drops to an average of 13 degrees. Last year we had a freak wind & rain storm, though, so please come prepared for any kind of weather!

What’s your refund policy?

In accordance with B.C. festival standards, our tickets are transferable, but non-refundable. You may trade, sell, or give away your ticket to someone else if you are unable to make it to the event, but we will not issue any refunds unless the event is cancelled or the festival dates are changed due to unforeseen circumstances. If you do trade, sell or give away your ticket, please make sure to write us an email with the full name and number of the person taking it so we can approve their entry on the day of the festival.

Here are some suggestions as to what you might want to bring with you:

Tent, Sleeping bag, Pillow, Flashlight, Bowl, Spoon, Fork & Knife, Towel, Cash (for merchandise), warm blankets and clothing, bathing suit, floaties, sneakers for physical activities, etc.

What should I bring with me?

Of course! Bring as many as you like. Just be sure they have a ticket!

Can I bring a friend?

We love the outpouring of interest in volunteering for the Canada Fruit Festival, however spaces are very limited and will likely go to people who have volunteered in previous years.

To guarantee your spot at the festival, we strongly suggest buying a ticket now while the prices are low.

If you are chosen to be a volunteer, you will be fully refunded for the price of your attendee ticket.

Our application form is not open yet, so please check back in January.
